Isabel Torres is a Research Assistant at GBAO, where she works on survey research, client presentations, and focus groups.

Prior to joining GBAO, Isabel worked on Stephen Daniel’s congressional campaign and on President Biden’s campaign as a field organizer in Florida. She later worked as a Research Assistant at the international research firm Global Insight, where she studied women’s rights, poverty, and inequality in countries around the world.

Isabel graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International and Area Studies, with minors in Spanish and Writing. While studying abroad in Argentina, she researched and wrote extensively about grassroots organizations’ use of community radio stations in their fight for justice for victims of police brutality. Her writing has been published in the Washington University Political Review and in the annual anthology of Nemerov Writing Scholars’ work. Isabel is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and now lives in Washington, D.C.
